David Reznick, co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Reznick Group P.C. passed away on December 31, 2014. David was great friend and confidant of City Real Estate Advisors, Inc., and he will be missed. A pioneer of the LIHTC industry, we cannot replace a man like David Reznick. We can only stand in his shadow and carry on with the passion, the intellect and commitment he had for affordable housing.
David was a visionary and who left an impression on everyone he met. His efforts to not just create LIHTC but to expand, enhance and improve the program touched millions of lives as families now have a place to call home. David’s practical advice is what helped make LIHTC the most effective form of creating affordable housing in America.
As is true with so many visionaries, David was about more than just housing. His philanthropic work was legendary. He was a tireless fundraiser for the research and treatment of breast cancer, children’s cancer, Muscular Dystrophy, Leukemia, and Lymphoma. While David would be the first one to tell you he didn’t deserve any recognition for his efforts, his awards in the philanthropic arena were numerous. In his eyes, helping others is just what a person does.
David is survived by his wife Sandra, their 5 children, 9 grandchildren and one brother.
David, we will miss your wit, your charm, your intellect, your advice and your giving of yourself for others.
