Bastion Earns Edson Award for Veteran Housing

This week, Bastion Community of Resilience in New Orleans, Louisiana received a Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award for veteran housing. “The Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Awards recognize outstanding Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit) developments across the nation at the forefront of creating stronger, healthier communities.” (www.taxcreditcoalition.org)


Bastion currently consists of 58 affordable homes that support veterans in transition through the power of community and offered service programs.

“The Bastion project reflects the passion and determination often needed to full the most critical needs within our communities,” said Rachel Thomas, SVP – Acquisitions. “This projects was about much more than providing shelter. Every partner worked tirelessly to overcome obstacles to offer our veterans not just a home, but a reconnection to a community that can offer healing and support.”
