CREA, a national low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) syndicator advancing affordable housing opportunities nationwide, is proud to announce its record‑setting results for 2025.

CREA closed $1.385 billion in investor equity across 29 states, while also expanding into two U.S. territories. In total, CREA raised $1.955 billion in investor equity - marking the highest annual totals for both closed and raised equity in the company’s history.

One of the strongest achievements of CREA’s milestone year was the successful syndication of CREA’s largest multi-investor fund to date, CREA Corporate Tax Credit Fund 117, LP, with a total equity raised of $403.5 million. CREA also closed its 40th multi‑investor fund earlier in the year, CREA Corporate Tax Credit Fund 115, LP, at $232 million.

The strength of 2025 was further reinforced by closed partnerships with 78 developers, of which 38 were repeat, as well as 34 investors.

The equity closed in 2025 will directly support the creation or preservation of 9,448 affordable homes and is projected to generate approximately 11,810 jobs. As CREA celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026, the organization has surpassed $13.5 billion in investor equity, building a strong portfolio of 1,059 properties and nearly 97,500 affordable homes across 49 states, Washington, D.C., and three U.S. territories.

This commitment to strengthening communities extends beyond CREA’s investments and is reflected in the growing work of CREA Foundation. In 2025, the Foundation expanded its reach eastward by launching a new CREA Scholars program at the University of Connecticut (UConn) and awarding two additional one‑time scholarships to UConn students. CREA Foundation also reaffirmed its partnership with Indiana University Indianapolis, committing to support the next CREA Scholars cohort beginning this fall. In total, the Foundation awarded $478.5 thousand in scholarships in 2025 and raised $483.5 thousand to further its mission. To date, nearly $2.5 million has been raised to support students and communities nationwide.

CREA enters 2026 well positioned to build on its progress and deepen its impact through affordable housing and beyond. “This year was not without hurdles, but our team never lost sight of our mission,” said Tony Bertoldi, CEO. “Team CREA’s resilience and commitment, in partnership with our outstanding investor and developer clients, allowed us to keep moving forward and continue building affordable housing that people and communities can truly be proud of. With a milestone year now behind us, we’re carrying that momentum into 2026 with excitement and confidence.”
